Exhausting Day being 2!

Sometimes the day is so exhausting that Cailyn can't stay up anymore. You know the basic 2 yr old thing (rummage through everything, attempt to destroy everything and smile while doing it) is very exhausting!!

I find it very amusing that unlike my other children at this age who would have major meltdowns, she will come up to me and say "up, nite-nite" and that is my cue she is ready for bed. I brush her teeth, read, sing with no tears. Then when I tuck her into bed she leaves me with the best smile EVER!! Oh, how I love this little girl!!

PreSchool Field Trip

Wesley's class had the opportunity to go to the Science Museum and get a class demonstration. It was SO MUCH FUN! Lawson was with us because she is on track out. We has never been to the classroom part either so it was a neat experience for all the kids. We are so thankful to our wonderful Teacher Ms. Ann who works there and could give us the inside scoop!

Wesley's class and Lawson...

Ms Ann letting them touch the snake...

I love this picture...you can see how much Cailyn looks up to her big sister.

Pretending to be something, and looking oh so cute!!

This is a great group of kids with Mr. Anthony.

Lunch in the plaza with his buddies...

And this is where Cailyn was for 2 hrs....I am so blessed she loves her stroller and raisins :)

Lawson is learning to sew

We left her favorite silky pillow at the beach. The solution she had to make her own. We happened to be going to a fabric store on the way home so she got to pick out her color :) I am so proud of her willingness to learn one of my favorite hobbies in the world!
She told me during this track out she wanted to learn to sew because she wanted to be just like her mommy.  :)

Wesley's Spring Break 2013

Wesley was very disappointed that he was unable to go "anywhere fun" like Lawson does on her track outs. Lawson was still in school the weather was iffy so we just stayed home. To try and make the most of his Spring Break I tried to schedule something EVERYDAY!!
Here is a snapshot of what he did.

Monday: outdoor picnic and bubble fight

Tuesday: MOPS and he had lots of fun playing with his buddies.

Wednesday:Play date with Rylie.

Thursday: Playdate with Jeremy

Friday: Playdate with Holden. This one was extra special because he got the whole house to himself with Holden and Cailyn went to Holden's house to play with Fletcher.

Wesley said he had the Best Spring Break with his friends. This will be his last "Spring Break" thanks to being in a year round school next year.

Church Easter Egg Egg-travaganza - 2013

There was many reasons to celebrate this Easter and one of them was Cailyn was able to participate in this year’s Easter Egg Hunts.  The other kids had a great time too. At the church they first had a puppet play, then a song then stations.  Stations included: Easter Egg Hunt, Resurrection Bread and Story Telling.

Here are pictures from our very fun Easter Egg-stravaganza at the church!!

Cailyn hitting a Milestone at her own pace

One of the awesome pleasures of being a SAHM is witnessing your child hit a milestone! At Cailyn's 2 yr check up everything checked out great but we still are slightly delayed in her gross motor skills. Not a surprise. The doctor nor I were alarmed and knew she would hit her milestone at her own pace. Probably 2-3 months later. One of the skills is going up and down stairs without climbing them but holding onto the railing. Guess what I caught Cailyn doing 2 months later and right in cue!?!? (Sorry for the blurry picture. I was just trying to capture the moment!! )

Soccer Season Spring 2013

Although it doesn't feel like Spring around here, soccer season has begun. We are very excited that Lawson decided to play this season for the first time ever.

She got to run though the banner.

She had a great game and played hard. One thing about Lawson she is a very fast runner and she loves to run. She said her first game experience was "awesome!!!" Yippee!

Then it was Wesley's turn. It was cold but he was thrilled to be back on the field.

He had a great game, several assists but most importantly had a fun time with his friends. This is his 3rd season with the same coach, Coach Jason.

We look forward to a fun filled season watching the kids have fun!!

Cailyn says "go La-la! Go Wes-Wes!!!

Snow Day

It is spring!! I better catch this blog up!!!

In February, we got our first and only snow day.  It was the perfect snow, here one day gone the next.  It was just enough for the kids to get to taste and see the snow but not mess up the roads too much.

The kids loved it.  This was Cailyn’s official first snow (and she is 2)!!!
