Cailyn is 3 Months Old

DSC_1354
My sweet baby girl is 3 months old!  I am still at the stage where I could stare at her all day and soak up all of her cuteness.   She is just perfect in my eyes!! At the end of a long day with the kids she refuels me with her amazing smiles.
A couple new things Cailyn is doing these days…
1. She has found her hands and they are oh so interesting.
DSC_1333
2. She is reaching for things.  I have a great picture of this but it is on my sister’s camera
3. VERY IMPORTANT: On April 12th @ 10 weeks Cailyn slept through the night for the first time.  Yahoo!!! She sleeps through the night pretty regularly now.  Her schedule is 9PM-6AM (Can’t ask for anything better)
4. The girl is seriously trying to sit up and I seriously push her back down.  I did break out the Bumbo for her and she seems content in that for 10-15 minutes.
5. Cailyn is a talker.  I will post a video tomorrow of her talking. She oohs and awes for us all the time. It is so cute!!

On a little bit of a serious note I will write about something that happened this week.  This is for my memory (remember this is my scrapbook) so I feel it needs to be documented.  Plus, I would only write this if everything was okay and I assure you everyone is okay.
Tuesday at 7AM, I fell on the last stair of my staircase and inadvertently dropped Cailyn.  I truly took the brunt of the fall and when I hit the floor onto my back Cailyn bounced out of my arms.  It was the most terrifying moment.  Cailyn was wailing, the kids witnessed the whole thing so they were crying and when I could not console her tears fast enough (for me) I was crying.  The first person I called was my sister to ask her what to look for. (The reason my sister went to nursing school is to be my personal nurse, haha).  Cailyn at this point had stopped crying and started smiling at us but I wanted to be double sure she was okay.  Then I called my doctor who assured me that she was probably fine but to come in.  I wanted to make sure it was okay for Cailyn to fall asleep in the car and stuff like that.  Got there after dropping off all the other kids and Cailyn was smiling, checking out her hands and just being an angel.  They assured me that kids are much tougher then we give them credit.  I felt a little bit better but oh so guilty for letting something like this happen.  The doctor then said…”Mom, I think you need to worry about yourself” as my elbow was swollen as was my knee.  I wasn’t going to worry about myself until I knew she was okay.  We are all okay that is all that matters  As far as the slick spot at the bottom of the stairs…I have a new non-slip rug!! AND I walk a lot more careful down the stairs!!

Because we went to the doctors @ 3 months with clothes Cailyn weighs 11lbs 14oz.

Cailyn continues to be such an amazing and delightful child. We truly are so blessed!
I found a note in Lawson room today…DSC_1359
What is says…Cailyn is a good baby and I love her with all my heart!!  Priceless!!

Cailyn’s many facial expressions

I was going through some pictures on my camera and I found a TON of Ms Cailyn that haven’t made it on the blog.  I thought I would share with you some of her many facial expressions.  They crack me up!  At a young age of 2 months she is very expressive!!

Cailyn will be 3 months old this weekend!! Can you believe it???

Easter Day

This year my parents were in town for the weekend.  It was so good seeing them.  I have felt slightly spoiled since I have been able to see them so much.  My parents just love spending time with the kids and love seeing how much Cailyn has grown even in 9 days!!

DSC_1287

Like Cailyn’s face??? Ha!!

Saturday Mom and Dad offered to take the big kids out and about.  I can not tell you how much I appreciated some time semi-by-myself.  I was able to go shopping and relax!  Nice!!

Easter Morning was so much fun watching the kids that morning!!DSC_1236DSC_1239

Cailyn enjoyed all the excitement too!! Cutie!!

DSC_1245

Mom said no pictures of me in the morning so here is Lawson and Cailyn!! Ha

Then it was time to get ready for church.  I was so proud of the outfits for my girl and did not want to leave Wesley out of the fun…DSC_1259

However, Wesley was not a fan of the bow tie...hmmm!!

DSC_1250

So I was able to get one cute picture of the kids all together

DSC_1274

Then the tie was off and Dah decided it looked on him.  I completely agree!!

DSC_1279

We went to church and I am so happy to say my neighbors decided to join us for church and Easter Dinner.  I love it that our neighbors are becoming more and more like family!!   We are truly so blessed to have them as neighbors since we have no other family around!!

After dinner mom and dad left for NOVA.  We were sad to see them go but we will see them in less then a month for Lawson’s birthday and Cailyn’s baptism.

HEre are some pictures of the kids playing with some of their Easter toys.  Bubble fights are fun!!!

DSC_1305

They also had the opportunity to eat their jumbo Easter bunny.  I think it says a lot about a person’s personality as to what they eat first…Lawson ate the ears…DSC_1307

Wesley broke off the butt and ate that first!! ha!!

Hope you all had just as wonderful of an Easter!!

Trip Down South

Guess who I went to visit last week???

DSC_1791

Lauren and McKenna are currently in SC with her MIL while Will is in training in GA.  So we decided to pay them a visit during the kids’ Spring Break.  Of course, hubby does not get a spring break so that meant “Momma was flying solo.”  The drive is normally about 3 hours and it was about an hour into the trip when Cailyn started wailing that I thought “I might of bitten off more then I can chew, hello, she is only 2.5 months old.”  But we made it down there and I couldn’t of been happier to be there.  I decided a trips length can be lengthen 30 minutes per child and if you decide to eat cabbage the night before add an hour for the one being nursed…ugh!! Lesson learned.

When we got there we were outside and enjoying the beautiful scenery.  All Wesley wanted to do was go to the lake and see the fish!!

Then Paula let the kids ride and drive Big Red.  Paula was so sweet and took them on many rides and had them digging for rocks as treasure.

DSC_1779

The lake is still too cold for swimming so we got out the bucket for water fun.  The kids had a blast!! It doesn’t take much!!

DSC_1811

Gotcha!

DSC_1818

These pictures crack me up!!

DSC_1819

Then after nap McKenna came out to enjoy the fun.  She thought the kids were crazy!

DSC_1826

Paula reminded us that she had a princess castle swimming pool so we got out that castle!! Lawson just LOVED IT!

Wesley enjoyed jumping in!! He has no fear!

After 3.5 days it was time to come home and get ready for Easter.  The trip ride home was much easier despite the rain and has not discouraged me from traveling again with the children.  It was a great trip and honestly I gave myself a huge pat on the back once we arrived home.  Wow, I really can do anything I put my mind too.  Of course it helps to have help at the end of the line so you are not doing everything by yourself (thanks Lauren.)

We had such a wonderful time with my sister, Paula, and McKenna.  It is always such a relaxing time at the lake.  Thank you again Paula for opening your home to the 4 of us!! Lauren as always you are the best!! I love you ladies!! Hope to see you all soon!!
