Happy Anniversary, Collins! I love you!
#1. You find your son and daughter having an afternoon tea party!
Lawson teaches you “Pinky up”
#2. You never know how you will find the other kids
Cailyn…
Then don’t forget about Wesley…
What can I say she is the BEST big sister EVER!!!
Lawson is in VA for a couple of days and this was Lawson and Wesley’s hug goodbye. SO SWEET!!!
Lawson, your brother and sister miss you and your fun and crazy ways!
The big kids have been taking swim lessons the last two weeks (when we have been able to get there due to car issues). The kids are having a great time and I am happy to report they are learning lots.
Wesley’ class…
Go Wesley, go Wesley…
Lawson is a little fish. The teacher told me Lawson is a very strong swimmer and if she kept up with it could be very good…can you say swim team next year!
I will be honest I give her semi-full reign at the pool and when I was doing my scan of where Lawson was how shocked so you think I was when I saw her 30+ feet up high??
Now she goes down the big slide all by herself!!!
Lawson after the big slide ride. I bet she went down 15 times that day!
Luckily Wesley is perfectly content on the slides only 4 feet high!
Last but not least Sweet Cailyn. She loves the pool too!
After the July 4th Holiday Collins, Cailyn and I left the beach and the big kids stayed for a fun filled few days. I was a little worried about leaving Wesley but let me tell you the child never for one moment got homesick. Hmmm, my plan for a momma’s boy might not be going exactly to plan- Kidding… With all the fun activities at the beach the kids had a blast!!!
Before we left we got a picture of the grandparents and the kids. They love their Grammy and Pops!
I know I do not have the pictures in order but here is a little synopsis of their days together.
The kids had art time…(I now am a proud owner of two sun ornaments, love them)
The had exploring time…this was there favorite time I think…
Lawson collecting several different types of specimens.
Checking them out and describing them.
They kept them for a short while and then let them go.
Lawson caught lots of crabs.
It was pirates night at the Aquarium. FUN, FUN!
Wesley loves sharks and was THRILLED to see this sand shark get inches away from him and bury in the sand.
They also went to Fort Macon to check out the cannons.
Pictures from the fort…
This left the kids exhausted!! The child that never sleeps during the day took a nap almost every day! Go figure!
Grammy and Pops, I know for a fact the big kids time with you was a trip they will not soon forget. Thanks so much for taking such good care of them…so when are you ready for three????
One of Collins’ favorite hobbies happens to be fishing. I really think he could fish everyday if he could. While we were at the beach over the 4th (a little late in my post, sorry) Collins took the kids fishing several times. The kids LOVED it. Fishing is not gender specific in this house. Girls can fish too (or at least Lawson can!) Not only that Lawson caught more fish too!!
Here are some pictures of their experience…
Wesley waiting so patiently…
What a beautiful sunset.
Lawson waiting patiently too…except with a little more attitude (in a model type of way)
Lawson was the first one to catch a fish. She reeled it in all by herself too!!
I forgot the final count but I think Lawson ended up catching 3 that evening and Wesley caught 2. (Wesley probably would have had more luck had he kept the tip of his rod out of the water!)
Over the 4th of July I mentioned we went to the beach. Grammy and Pop’s place have a really nice pool Sound side.
Here is Cailyn and I ready to go down to the pool. Self picture in the mirror. I couldn’t resist. She was talking so cute in the mirror.
We blew up a float for her and had her chilling in it so she could watch her brother and sister.
Wesley was having SO MUCH FUN!!
Pops and Daddy got a work out pushing the kids in the water.
Wesley going on a ride. The child was laughing so hard!! I love hearing a good gut laugh, you can’t help but laugh with him.
Cailyn was pretty much land locked, but she never complained. It was really sunny and I really try to keep her out of the chlorine because her skin is so sensitive.
What a fun time at the pool. Next post will be all about fishing. By far Wesley’s favorite part of the whole trip!
This year the Fitts family got into the family car and headed down to the beach to visit Grammy and Pops. It was a nice long weekend and we had a great time. I have lots of pictures to share of the kids adventures but I thought I would first share our 4th of July pictures and how we celebrated.
Our first stop was the annual 4th of July Parade in Beaufort. It was a little accident that we arrived there 30 minutes before the festivities started but a great accident, because the kids loved seeing all the floats, double decker bus, and getting candy (of course). Had I known there was going to be a parade they would have been in their 4th outfits…oh well.
Cailyn enjoyed the…sounds. Ha!
Wesley had a great view but the wind was fierce so he didn’t last long on his daddy’s shoulders.
While the big kids and their grandparents watched the parade close-up, Collins, Cailyn and I were in the shade. Perfect chance for a close-up of us – boy I have a handsome hubby!
After the parade we went to the Maritime museum.
Caught ya…Lawson is always picking up her brother, ugh. I am not sure if it is to really help him or what, but goodness she is always picking him up!
Here are 2 of my cuties. We will have to go back when Cailyn is old enough to get a picture of her in the ship!
Collins and the kids….
After the museum we went by the waterfront and had lunch. Lawson checking out all of the boats It was a windy but gorgeous day!
After naptime we all got dressed up in our 4th of July outfits and went poolside for a cookout. Here are some of pictures of the evening…
We had a great 4th of July. Wesley favorite part of the evening were the Morehead City Fireworks. They were actually amazing. Wesley now wishes everyday there were fireworks!
