Fireman’s Picnic

The first weekend of October is our town’s annual Fireman’s picnic.  Collins happened to be out of town on a fishing trip so after the baby woke up from her nap we went to check things out and met up with Elizabeth and her sons.  We also saw a lot of our other friends there too!! It is so fun living in a small-ish town!!

One of their demonstrations…that was not moving along fast enough so we moved onto food!

Now, this was cool and scary. 

The best part was getting to play on the fire trucks.  Of course, they are a lot cooler when they are out for play and not parked in your driveway. I am just saying…

Of course, some of us might use the huge front bumper as a stage…

We are still here…

Things have been super busy around here!!   Short synopsis of things going on here…

Lawson is tracked out right now, so I have got her working…girl has to learn to earn her keep!

Wesley was sick last week, but doing fine now.                       

Cailyn is just busy being cute…

I am just trying to keep up!  We went to VA last weekend then I got sick. Right now I sound like a 70yr old smoker, but I am feeling much better.

We are NOT in Madrid, Spain

If you have received an email from me asking for money because I took a quick trip to Madrid, Spain PLEASE IGNORE!!

Apparently, these people are complete idiots because if they knew me they would know I have a hard enough time getting 3 kids ready for church, let alone going all the way across the world.  Geez!

Hopefully I will get my account will be fixed soon because they changed everything including my Facebook account.  Otherwise, I will have a new email account soon.

PLEASE do not email my fittsfamily account, because they are responding back to people!  Scary!

A little bit of this and that

Here are my kiddos!  Cailyn is changing so much these days (becoming a my little Chunky Monkey!) It makes me wonder who she looks like these days.   She might of started out looking like Wesley but these days I see a lot more of Lawson in her.  Who knows? Lets just say she looks like Cailyn!!

Then it was Lawson’s turn to take a pictures.  I think she is a better photographer then me.  It might be her calling!!

Kid Update!

Wesley’s first week of preschool has been wonderful.  Get this…the teacher told me “Wesley is the best behaved child in her class, hands down!”  HOLY COW!! So all the attitude and tantrums and not listening he leaves at home.  What a blessing..I think.  I should preference this- in his class there are 5 boys and 2 girls.  Poor teacher!

Lawson is doing great in school.  We are having some issues on what she is hearing on the bus. Ugh!  The good news is she asks me about what she is hearing, the bad news is she is hearing it and her mind is a steal trap.  What to do, what to do? I do not want to give up on the bus but I have some issue with her being exposed prematurely to stuff she does not need to know.  grrrrr!

Cailyn (7.5mo old) is just sweet Cailyn.  She is doing great and she seems to REALLY enjoy her mommy-me time.  Sweet girl!

Melinda’s Trip to Raleigh

My very dear friend, Melinda, made to Raleigh this weekend and we got to meet her sweet son, Haden.  It was so wonderful to see Melinda.  The last time I saw her she was very pregnant with Haden. Now he is walking & talking. Time passes by so fast!

We met at a local park and had a picnic together. 

Then it was picture time.  Between the 4 girls we have 9 kids + 1 on the way (Charity).  This group of kids are so sweet and they all love playing with each other!!

Here are a few of my besties from college.  I just love these ladies!  We always have so much fun together.

The girls and I got back together that evening and had a wonderful dessert from Hayes Barton, YUM!! It was great to catch up. Thanks, Melinda for coming up here and seeing us.

Sister Time

Last week my sister came into town so we could have some girl time.  We talk almost everyday and when we go over 24 hours without talking I feel off like something is missing.  Then when I get the opportunity to see her we talk and talk, we laugh, cut up, and have the best time.  Here are some great pictures from my sister and my niece's visit. Call it like I see it…

I am an idiot!

No, I am not trying out for the Blue Man’s Group this is my mishap with some nasty medicine called Gentian violet. 

I have a LONG history of not putting the lid on things. Normally it is someone else who picks up the unclosed bottle and is cursing my name because they have just spilled laundry detergent or orange juice every where because I did not close the lid properly.  Oops! 

Friday, I was the victim and boy did I pay the price.  This stuff STAINS!  It was EVERYWHERE!!

I ruined a pair of jeans, a bath mat, and my tile grout is now a constant reminder of my accident.  As I type this 3 days later my fingers are still blue!  Ugh!!

I had to laugh at myself because it really is my own fault. This is why I have this sign in my house “Keep Calm and Carry On”

***I figure I am always embarrassing my kids on here I need to show myself in some embarrassing moments too!!

Leaving the Hospital and Firsts

Wednesday Feb 2nd (her due date) we left the hospital.  It was a beautiful day and unseasonably warm.  Although, I was ready to go home and be with my family I will miss the luxuries of the hospital.  Like room service- which by the way the food at Rex is WONDERFUL!  We even got a meal for that evening as a parting gift.  So nice!
My mom stayed with me at the hospital and we had so much fun and it was kinda like a slumber party.  I know that is strange but our nights with Cailyn were not bad and we got to talk and talk about everything under the sun.  I love my mommy!
The time had arrived and it was time to go home.  Here we are ready to leave and take her home.
