Trip to the Lake

In July our family took a trip to visit Paula & Jim while Aunt Lauren, Will, McKenna, and Wood were down.  We had the best time!!!

First time water tubing!! What fun!

Before we get to the water fun when the kids woke up it was like “Christmas in July for the kids” by Paula.  The kids were overwhelmed (or maybe that was me) by all the beautiful clothes for the kids. Lawson is the fashion diva and she was loving all the clothes.

Wesley gave his super dooper power hugs thanking Paula!!

The babies!! Cailyn loved all the kisses

It is hard to tell in this picture but Lawson got neon lipstick and everyone is wearing a different neon color.  Ha!!

There is nothing better then taking a snooze on the boat.  Can you see a little boys eyes getting heavy?

After the lake what else would one do but go to the pool!!!

Saturday the boys caught a whole cooler full of catfish.  Then Sunday it was time to clean it.  Wesley watched EVERYTHING. Lawson was a cautious observer….

While Paula cooked a feast for a king we went back out on the boat.  Cailyn went with us this time.  She was not a fan of the life jacket and water, but she loved being in the boat.

3rd New Year’s Eve Party

We did it again.  Somehow, someway we hosted another great New Year’s Eve Party.  Actually, I know how we did it with the help of my awesome parents, neighbors, and friends!!  This year we had one of our biggest turnout yet and the most babies too!!! It was so fun, and thanks to everyone who came.
Some great pictures of the night!
Cailyn turned 11months old on the 31st and was the first to bed too!!! Nighty-night baby!!!

Ken’s Corn Maze

This weekend the weather was beautiful (on Sunday) and it was perfect for an outdoor adventure.  We met up with the Spesshardt Family to take the kids to Ken’s Corn Maze.  We went there when Wesley was Cailyn’s age, funny how Collins always gets the chance to “wear the baby.”  Here are pictures back from 2008.

A true man is a man who is not ashamed to wear a baby!

We tried to get a picture of the kids with the cool bus before we went to the maze. Can you tell how that went??  Can you tell who’s kid DOES NOT LISTEN?? Yep, the one in the orange jacket…who’s kid is that anyway???
DSC_0144
The kids getting a practice maze experience in…  at this point we heard it took up to 1.5hrs to 2 hrs with as the course was 6 acres or 2.5 miles!  Yikes!!

We took on the challenge and here was one of our fearless leaders.  Cailyn was giving instructions.  haha!

The first rest stop.  No one was complaining!! The kids were such troopers!
DSC_0158
We completed the coarse in 1 hour and 20 minutes. We did miss two stations but seriously who cares we made it out!! It was funny if we thought we were a little lost/confused the kids would tell us (Wave your flag we need help!!)
I have to give props to Cailyn.  I woke her up from her nap, did not feed her, and put her in a Bjiorn for 2 hours and she never complained once.   All so her big sister and big brother could go run themselves to exhaustion.  Wow, what an excellent little girl!

Here are all the semi-big kids… So cute!

Here are the rest of the big kids!
