39 weeks and still counting...

Okay, I am still here!  I have 3 days to go and I am ready to meet Cailyn.

This is me after church.  Several people asked me how many weeks I had left and looked a little scared when I told them 3 days!

Today I have my first real craving for Rootbeer and hotwings (and Lawson and Daddy are at the store fulfilling my wishes.)  Maybe that is a sign she is coming soon!!!  We will keep you posted.

Love, M

39 Weeks and Counting...

No Pictures today.

I just wanted you all to know I am still here (with a headcold) and Cailyn has not made her entrance into the world.  I had my 38.2 week doctor's appointment last week and I was 2 cm dilated and she is still really LOW but that means nothing.  I am not sure I wrote about my 37 week appointment but I lost 2lbs and as of last week I have not regained them back.  They gave me full permission to eat as my Debbie Snacks as I see fit!  When I look in the mirror...I think at my appointment tomorrow they will say I have gained them back!

The doctor also thinks Cailyn is going to be a peanut unlike my two 8lb 11oz baby, and 8lb 8oz baby.  I told him I thought she would be exactly 8lbs but who knows.  All I care about is a healthy baby girl!

Last thing...if I do not have Cailyn by tomorrow we are planning on scheduling to be induced.  I will either go in on the 31th or the 1st in the evening.  I just have to get the hospital's permission and the doctor's permission.  I can't decide it it will be nice to remove the whole "surprise element" the labor process brings or not!  There will still be 7 days for her to come naturally.  Only God knows what our future holds and I have faith he will take care of me and her!

Please continue to pray for us and a healthy delivery!!  We will keep you posted.

That's All Folks!!  (We are watching Bugs Bunny right now!)

Our Weekend: Drawings by Lawson

We had a pretty uneventful weekend.  Collins went hunting all day Saturday and the kids and I stayed home and chilled out or in other words we didn’t venture out so we wouldn’t spend any money.  On cold days like we are having every outing seems to include $$.

I won’t lie it was a rough Saturday! The night before, Collins and I had gone on a date and dropped off the kids at a local babysitting facility (this was the first time doing this at night.)  The kids stayed up way too late and then woke up way too early on Saturday morning.  Not a good combination!

Lawson captured Wesley’s mood with this drawing and stuck it on his door…

Then Sunday we went to church and everything was going great until about 4PM and for the first time this pregnancy I started to feel pain.  My right leg had a pinched nerve and went in and out numb and was VERY painful.  Cailyn happens to love my right side so it is no surprise her weight is finally affecting my right leg!

Lawson made this drawing for me!  She is so sweet!!DSC_0603

Thank you Lawson!

Baby Brain?

I just looked in the mirror for the second time today, the first being this morning at 6:30AM and I just realized my shirt is on backwards!!

That means I have been going around town with pockets on my rear end!!  Imagine this shirt on but on backwards….DSC_0173

Thank you society for letting me walk around like an idiot all day!!! I owe ya one!

Less then 2 weeks to go and I am quickly losing it!  Can I chalk it up to Baby Brain??? Probably not…

38 Weeks and Counting

Here I am at 38 weeks!!  I can’t believe I only have 2 weeks to go!  Although this isn’t the best picture of my belly it does show the wear-n-tear I feel at the end of the day!!

Things are coming together here.  Her room is coming together.  Check out my other blog to see it.  The baby monitor arrived yesterday (Thank you Grammy and Pops) and the stroller has been ordered (Thank you Nana and Dah.)  I feel pretty good if we were to have a baby now, we are good to go!

Here are some pictures of the kids loving on Cailyn.  Charlotte asked me if this kids were as excited to meet Cailyn as we are.  The answer is YES!!!                                                              CSC_0498

Lawson and Lanie Ice Skating

Yesterday at Ice Skating I FINALLY got Lawson to do extra time on the ice.  The motivation…Lanie her new American Girl Doll got to go on the ice with her.  WHAT A TREAT!!

Lawson had so much fun guiding Lanie on the ice.  Last week I made her a “Snow Outfit”  in anticipation for her ice time and I was suppose to attempt to make ice skates but ran out of time (still not sure how I am going to accomplish this but we shall see.)  I told her Lanie would be okay as long as she wiped her feet often.

Isn’t this SWEET??? Lawson teaching Lanie how to Ice Skate…CSC_0488

Fun, fun!!  I should also make a note to say how much Lawson is LOVING Ice Skating.  She has grace and speed.  She is really a quick learner and is excelling in her lessons right now.DSC_0483

I am so proud of my little ice skater!!!  Love you sweet pea!!DSC_0479

Wood Ducks a Boy’s Delight

Daddy went duck hunting today and got two wood ducks.  Wesley was very excited to see what daddy brought home.  This boy talks about hunting with daddy all the time, but knows it will be a while until he can actually go!!  Of course, for my nerves that day can be a VERY LONG time from now!!

He actually loved holding it, he just didn’t want to pose for a picture!DSC_0464

Good job, Collins!! Now we can have a baby because he has technically had a great hunting season and checked everything off his list!!

I am a big boy!!!

Apparently someone flipped the switch and when Wesley turned 3 he is just acting older and letting us know with a vengeance he is a BIG BOY!!  The big example is how he sleeps.  First, about a month ago he insisted he did not need his bumper guard on his bed so we removed it.  (Luckily, he has not fallen out of bed)

The second big change is his insistence "I DO NOT NEED A PULL-UP AT NIGHT."   Wesley has been potty trained for a while but one area I have not pushed is him trying to go through the night without assistance.  Mainly because I thought he was young to have to hold his pee for 12 hours and I really do not like waking up at night when I don't have too.  Call me lazy!!

On his birthday the child INSISTED with tears and fight he was a "BIG BOY" and no longer needed a diaper. I tried to get the pull-up on but the child would not budge (strong-willed.)  I am proud to say he has been accident free for 3 nights!!   He really is a big boy!!

Love you buddy!! We are so proud of you!!!

New Year's Eve Party

Collins and I hosted our second annual New Year's Eve Party and had SO MUCH FUN!! It is always so wonderful the have friends over to celebrate the New Year!!  A couple people (mom & dad) called me nuts for hosting a party at 35 weeks.  I say, why not....this handsome fellow below does most of the cooking anyway!!

Collins fixed Deer Niblits (HUGE HIT), Jalapeno Poppers, and Steamed Oysters.  HUGE SUCCESS all the way around!! I fixed Buffalo Chicken Dip, Veggie Platter, Seven Layer Salad (which I forgot to set out) and Punch.

Here are some of the fans of Collins' Steamed Oysters.

Then this year since the weather was so nice we had SMORES at the Bon Fire.  Yum, Yum!!

Wesley proudly showing off his smore!  Silly boy!!

The children had so much fun!! Lawson, Siena, and Britain danced the night away!!

We also had the game of Cornhole set out.

The kids checking out the Oysters.  Only Lawson was brave enough to have an Oyster and then proceeded to have more!!

Here I am with some of my favorite ladies.

Baylor and Lawson are ready to bring in the New Year.  Wesley did not make it.  He asked to go to sleep around 11PM.

Here is the crowd that made it for New Years!!  (There was also 4 on the couch).

Happy Belated New Year to all of our family and friends.  We started the New Year off right!!
(It only took me two days to recover from our party so my parents are probably right...I am nuts!!)

Also, I should note I had to wake up the kids at 10:30AM the next morning!! Everyone was exhausted!

Happy 3rd Birthday Wesley

Our Baby Boy is 3!!!

He entered this world on Jan 8, 2008 at 9:38AM, at 8lbs 8oz and look at him now!!!  Words can never explain how much I love this child and the happiness he brings us.  He is so full of love, energy, and will-power and is a COMPLETE Mama's boy!!  I love it!!

Today we spend the whole entire day at the Durham Life and Science Museum and when we got home we had cake and gifts!! What a great day.  (Pictures to follow)

Pops and Grammy were also here to celebrate!! We had the best day!!!

Happy Birthday Big Boy!! You are so loved!!

Happy Birthday to Me!!

December 30th I celebrated my 30th...(don't you dare correct me) birthday.  It was such a great birthday.  I was with my whole family and my Grandmother, Mamma II came up with her boyfriend Gene for a couple hours to celebrate with me!!

Mamma II even brought me up a cake!!

.  Here is the amazing part of Mamma II the woman just had open heart surgery August 25th and look at her!! She is beautiful and on the go!! Nothing slows her down.

I love my Mamma II!!

For Wesley's Christmas present she brought him up a cooked 9lb ham.  This might seem weird but Wesley is not the best eater but every time he has eaten Mamma II's ham he has gone crazy over it.  So she brought him up a ham.  We all asked him if we could have some and he said "Sure you can have some of my ham but not all of it."   He pretty much ate ham for an entire week!!
Also, Lawson and Wesley started calling Mamma II ~ Nana II.  Gotta love it!!

Thank you so much Mamma II for coming up and visiting us.  We love you so much!

Girl Time at the Nutcracker

Before Christmas Lawson and I went to the Nutcracker with our friends Charity and Siena.

We had the best time just the girls!  First we went to dinner at El Rodeo (fancy I know).

We did it up right…dinner then a show.  Siena already knew some of the music and was singing to us on the way there (so cute!)  Then it was time for the show.  I was mesmerized.   I have a little history with the Nutcracker back in the day and the music just took me back.  Lawson and Siena were both extremely attentive and were beyond wonderful.

They did ask lots of questions but that just meant they were paying attention!!  I have to admit I did cry a little as I watched the show and held my daughter’s hand.  For me spending this time with Lawson was so incredible special and I feel so blessed that I can share some of my interests with my daughter!!

Lawson and Siena both had a wonderful time.  Charity and I had a great time being able to have a Mother/Daughter function together!!  We are going to try to make this a yearly tradition.  Soon she will be taking her other daughter Britain and I will be taking Baby Girl!

35 Weeks and Counting

35 weeks...wow that means 5 weeks to go.  This pregnancy seems to be flying by.

How are we doing?

I am getting a little worn down faster, but that is to be expected.  I am walking a little slower but I am no spring chicken!!  Other then that we are great!  People keep saying I am small but I feel like I am exactly where I should be.  I am okay if I don't have a 8lb 11oz or 8lb 8oz baby this go around.  As long as she is healthy we are happy!!  I go for my 36 week check-up on Thursday so we will see where we are measuring.  I am measuring about 1.5 weeks behind by the measurement tape but I was also with L & W and I DO NOT THINK THEY WERE SMALL by any means!

Also, I am 99% sure we have a name. I am very excited!   I am sure we will be announcing her name before she gets here, but you never know!

Please continue to pray for a healthy pregnancy and healthy delivery!! We are so excited to meet Baby Girl and God only knows when she will be arriving.  I just ask for a little more time because He knows I am the world's best procrastinator!!
