Thankful for my Mommy

Remember what Wesley said at Thanksgiving dinner?

Yep, he is a mamma's boy and I am NOT ashamed to admit it!!

Thanksgiving 2010

I hope that you all had a wonderful and filling Thanksgiving.  Ours was wonderful.  We had Collins' family here and it was great. We always enjoy having family here and we are so thankful for our family!

Lawson prepared for the big meal!

Taylor, James, Gale ready for the feast.

Everyone was really excited for BB's rolls (I made 2 batches).  (Recipe coming soon- I promise)

Lawson's favorite food- fried turkey and rolls.  Wesley's Favorite food Cranberry Stuff (out of a can) and Rolls!
This year I went around the table asking everyone (on film) what they are thankful for and we started with Wesley.  His answer was "nothing" so moving on we went around the table and heard everyone's responses.  Then back to Wesley he said "I am thankful for my mommy!!!"  Guess what it is on film too!! LOVE IT!!

Wesley loved hanging out with Uncle Taylor.  Wesley would crawl on his lap every time Taylor would sit down!

All the men watching football on Thanksgiving!

Now that Thanksgiving is over...guess what they are excited about now??

BB's Rolls

My Wesley is not the best eater in the world I am sad to say.  If you ask him what he wants for dinner his answer is typically...lolly pops.  Well, this week I had to bring rolls for Wesley's preschool room.  I decided to make my Great-Grandmother's Rolls called "BB's Rolls."  Well Wesley has a new demand now...

I want rolls!!

 YUM!!

Mommy, please make these everyday!!
This child had 4 of them after eating all of his dinner... I don't think he understand the rules of "the rolls."

Reminds me of when we had some of Chad's basketball friends at our home for the holidays.  One guy, Adam, 6'8 maybe (big guy) was completely in love with my mom's cooking and especially the BB's rolls. Well late in the evening Adam found the bag of rolls plopped in front of TV and was just chowing down.  Chad saw this and told Adam in so many words "If you don't want to get hurt, put away the rolls!!"  They are just that good and that treasured!

What are we up to?

I don't have any new pictures...I have nothing really to write about.
We are all doing great and healthy.

The exciting news in the house these days "Lawson has a loose tooth"  Can you believe it??
Between you and me...
I am praying that Collins is around when it needs pulling or she looses it at school.  I DON'T DO TEETH!!

That is it from here!! Hope you are all doing well.

Gender: Girl
Movement: She is going to be a dancer!!  The girl loves to bust a groove during the day!

What I miss: Bending over!

Cravings: None really.

Names: Still can't decide...this frustrates me a little because I would love to call her by name at this point.

Symptoms: None...just keep on keeping on.

Best Moments this week:  The kids giving my belly kisses in the morning.  I love it!!

27 Week Update

I just wanted to give you an update on Baby Girl Fitts. Everything looks WONDERFUL!! At 16 weeks I had placenta previa and was told I have a 2 vessel umbilical cord. Of course they told me not to worry and we would look at everything at 27 weeks. I tried my best not to worry and really was optimistic that everything was going to be okay but there was the small fear of a c-section and slow growth due to the 2 vessel cord. Plus, anytime someone would say "you are so tiny for this being your 3rd kid" it would scare me and really started getting annoying because I would think "is she not growing? why am I so small? what is wrong with me or her?" You know the million questions a mother-to-be has running through her head.

I am happy to say at 27 weeks my placenta has moved and I am on track for a vaginal birth. Then with the 2 vessel cord she is growing right on track. She is approx. 2lbs 6oz and in the 50th percentile. They told me she looks great and to keep on keeping on like I am going and no need to come back for another ultrasound.

They did tell me my due date looks more like Jan 28th as originally given but who knows!! She is VERY LOW and wouldn't be surprised for another quick labor. I am thinking about camping out at the hospital around Jan 27th!!

Now I feel like I can really enjoy the rest of this pregnancy without as much worry.  Thank you Lord for all your blessings.

 I am one happy mommy!!!

I appreciate any of your continued thoughts and prayers as Baby Girl grows.
We will see her in about 3 months!!

Halloween 2010

What a fun Halloween Day!! I love it that the kids are getting a little older and can really get into all of the festivities!!  We started out Sunday after naps carving out the family pumpkin.

The kids clean out the guts and Daddy does the carving.  Lawson and Wesley picked out a ghost this year because of Wesley's costume.

That evening it was time to light it up.

Miss Lawson was Minnie Mouse.  Her cousin, McKenna, was also Minnie Mouse.  TOO CUTE!!

Wesley the Friendly Ghost.  He finally made his appearance on Halloween.  I couldn't get him to wear it at our friends' Halloween Party but with a little bribery he wore it!!

My two little angels looking so cute on Halloween!! (Don't get to close to each other kids)

Then we went to a local church for their Fall Festivities.  This is our 3rd year attending and each year it seems to get better and better.

Wesley saw his preschool teacher, Ms Saundra, he was thrilled to see her! (Really)

Then on the way home we decided to experience real Trick-or-Treating.  It was hilarious.  When we went to our first house Lawson was saying "Do we know these people? We are going to a strangers house?  Is that okay?  Are they nice?"  Despite all the questions the drive for candy outweighed the shyness (go figure).

After the first trip up a driveway we were RUNNING from one house to another.

Lawson then on a roll...she would compliment every homeowner in one way or another.  "I love how you have decorated your home. I love your banisters painted black.  I love how your house smells.  Your dog is so cute and Fluffy.  We have seen a dog at almost every house, what is your dogs name?"  You get the idea she is very observant.  We went to about 7 houses.  (IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!)

Then when we got home we got to pick out one piece of candy and check out their stash!! (Mom- I thought of you and stole their Snicker Bars, haha)

Lawson's candy!

It was a great Halloween and get this...I got a picture with the kids.  Technically all 3 of them.
Hope you all had a happy and safe Halloween!!
