March of Dimes- Hooray for Holden

This weekend our family walked in the March of Dimes with Hooray for Holden's Team.  It was a perfect morning for a walk and everyone was excited to take part in this wonderful event.

Here is the team captian...Holden

Here we are at the beginning of the race.  Lawson and Quinn decided to walk.  Wesley was content just strolling.  (Thank E for letting us borrow your stroller)  Notice all the people behind us...we are no where close to being last.

Quinn and Lawson...they had a blast hanging out together. They walked pretty much the whole way.  I was surprised.

They also ran a little..

And rested together..

They even held hands... Isn't that sweet?? Now notice how many people are behind us?? Yep, we were pretty much last... haha!

Here is Hooray for Holden's Team.  Gale and James and another family were there but they were WAY ahead of us.

Here is Wesley after his big stroll!
It was a great day.  Lots of fun and all for such a wonderful cause!!

This is how we roll

So now we have 2 antique buggies at my house!! How many do you have??

The kids absolutely LOVE riding in these things.  To tell the truth they have excellent suspension and are so easy to push!  Friday evening when Grammy and Pops got into town they strolled the kids!!

Time for a close-up

Oops, a little bit too close!!

Yes, this is how we roll!!  We don't own a nice 21st century stroller, we have two 19th century buggies!!Haha!

A Present From Germany and Crazy Memories

My dad just recently went to Germany and brought home to Wesley a German hat.  Dah gave it to Wesley late one evening and Wesley really had nothing to do with it.  Then when it was on his terms Wesley loves wearing it.

This hat is so cute.

Here is a profile shot.

As I look at Wesley in this hat it reminds me of my Girls' Weekend at Florida and our visit to a local German Restaurant called Hollerbach's and the goofy men in German gear.

This was entertaining.  All I could think was Ricola.  (Remember those commercials?)

Anyway.  I thought of my last German experience... (Yes, I know Mother-of-the-Year)

Well, lets just stick to how cute this hat is!! I won't have to worry about my kids wearing this when they are "of age" and when they drink their first "das boot" it is already too small for Lawson.  Haha!
I told you my thoughts are crazy!!  Thank you Dah for the hat for Wesley and skirt for Lawson!!

Azalea Gardens

The Azalea's this year are just GORGEOUS!! On Sunday we took the kids to the Azalea Gardens.  This is my favorite time of the year.  I love all of the amazing flowers God has created.  I wish I could just sit and take in it all the beauty but there was two kids to watch so I took pictures...

First we had to keep the kids from getting soaked.

Then the kids RAN, and RAN, and RAN.

Then flower child Lawson...Played "Where is Lawson" Can you find her?

Then they found a stump and Wesley screamed "I am the King"

We did get some pictures of the kids being still.

You can forget pictures of us all together...Make Wesley be still and he is miserable.

Collins and the Kids

Collins and I really did enjoy watching the kids run!!

One more picture of the flowers!!
What an amazing time of the year!!

Easter Day 2010

Easter Morning 2010. It was a wonderful morning.  First the kids found 2 Easter Eggs the Easter Bunny left behind on the stairs.

Then the kids found their Easter Baskets.

Then found a few more eggs

Then it was time to go to church.  No time for pictures before church so this is the best I got.

Then we got home and it was photo shoot time.  Except the kids were not in the mood!
