Wesley is 4 years old

My baby boy is 4 years old.  WOW!! The years have flown by.  My big boy who came in weighing 8lbs 8oz

is now a little boy full of life and energy.  His smile is contagious and his eyes smitten you the moment he glances at you…

okay…I might of just thrown that last one in there but he did tell his preschool teacher he didn’t want to grow up because he never wanted to leave his mommy.  I am thinking that makes me a favorite!!haha! 

His birthday celebration seemed to be a week long.  First we celebrated that day with a special chocolate donut breakfast.

Then later that day we opened presents on facetime or skype with family!!

Then the following Tuesday he had cupcakes with his friends at school.

Then on Saturday he had a birthday party with all his closest friends.  What a fun time!

The picture below reminds me of his 2nd birthday party (and no it is not because he has his age on his shirt) it because I can not get a picture of this child sitting still he is always running!!

 

**When it was birthday cake time I some how forgot the candle!!! As luck would have it one of our dear friends were having their daughter’s 4th birthday next door so I borrowed their candle and quickly returned it.  Disaster adverted!! Thank you, Jenn!!

What a wonderful time celebrated a terrific little boy. 

He did ask if he was going to continue to get gifts every week…haha!! I guess one would think that since ever since Christmas he has received some sort of gift every week!!!

3rd New Year’s Eve Party

We did it again.  Somehow, someway we hosted another great New Year’s Eve Party.  Actually, I know how we did it with the help of my awesome parents, neighbors, and friends!!  This year we had one of our biggest turnout yet and the most babies too!!! It was so fun, and thanks to everyone who came.

Cailyn turned 11months old on the 31st and was the first to bed too!!! Nighty-night baby!!!

Then once the baby was in bed it was Oyster time!! One of the highlights for many!!

Then one of the highlights for me was my best MC buds were all at MY HOUSE!!! How crazy is that???  I am so lucky to rock in the new year with my best girls!!
One of our guests got here asleep and stayed asleep…isn’t that crazy???

Then others just passed out…I don’t think it was the punch! (I don’t think!!)

Even Wesley passed out.  My big boy still wants his mommy!!!
Soon after we brought in the New Year everyone left. 
My clean up crew was hard at work…..

Nana was sweet enough to put little guy to bed!!

Then the “after party” started!!  Baker and Donna stayed with us for the evening.  No matter how long we have been apart we always pick up like it there hasn’t been a 8 month gap!!
We goofed off by the fire pit!!!

Happy 4th Birthday Wesley

My baby boy is 4 years old today. We started off his birthday with homemade chocolate donuts with a candle. He was so excited that it was his birthday. When he woke up I started singing to him and he said "stop! You can only sing to me if I have a candle to blow out! That is the rule". Silly boy. I have much more to write about my only son, my middle child but that will be later. Until then, wish my little man a Happy Birthday so he can see all the people who enjoy reading about him on blog land!

It was such a relaxing Christmas…Grammy Gale and I did make Christmas Dinner and it was wonderful but it was nothing over the top (meaning no silver!!)

Cailyn Crawling

I am so excited I captured Cailyn crawling (on all 4) for the first time today. It isn't lightening fast but it is the technique that is important!
What I am not excited about is you have a clear shot of all my junk! What can I say being creative is messy!
Just focus on my sweet girl. You will see she is still trying to kick out her right leg but she is working through it.

Cailyn is 11 Months old

Stop the press…it can’t be true.  My baby has one more month until she is a YEAR OLD!! That news still blows me away!!!  I think I am in denial!  My 11 month old is doing awesome!  Cailyn turned 11 months old on December 31st!! She was rocking New Year’s Eve in style!!

Here are some of the Cailyn News…

- Cailyn had tooth #3,#4,#5 break through in 3 days…that was fun! Now we have 5 teeth.  2 on the bottom and 3 on the top.

- On 12/27 I decided to take her to the doctors because I was concerned about her not using her right leg appropriately.  She would scoot but always hold out her right leg. Never bending it or putting weight on it.  Sometimes she would even scream if you made her put weight on it. After an examination and x-rays the child is FINE!  This is a learned technique and there is not a thing wrong with her leg…

Her ear on the other hand not so fine…They did a simple once over and looked into her ear and she had her first ear infection.  There were no signs, no fever, no fussiness, no loss of appetite.  (Thanks for the warning, girl)  So we are on our first antibiotic, it has done a # on her belly since this is the first processed ANYTHING she has ever consumed besides her Tri-vi-sol. 

- On 12/28 after our doctor visit she decided she can really show off and start scooting.  She moves on her rear end.  It is a lunge forward with all 4s on the ground then she swings her legs around.  It is very ineffective if she wants to get anywhere fast but she can move!! This counts as crawling right?

- One other thing at 11 months she weighs approximately 19lbs 13oz (clothes on) I think she is doing okay on the weight issue!!

As I have said many times before Cailyn is the best baby and just loves to be around people.  She will go to anyone and is just so incredibly social. Of course, she loves to be with her mama but she is willing to share the love!! 

I will share one thing we do every night at bed time.  When I set her down for bed I make the sound of two air kisses.  Then she gives me two air kisses back.  Love it! This is her giving kisses.

 

On New Year’s Eve we had a special visitor, Cailyn’s Great Grandmother, Mama II. Here are 4 generations!!  Thank you Mama II for coming up and visiting!! We love you!
