27 months Measurement Myth or Fact?

My dad told me to measure Wesley at 27 months and double his height and that will give me his height when he finishes growing.

Today, at 27 26 months (I can count I promise) he measures at 35.25" give or take .25"  So does that mean my son is going to 5'10"???  Edit: Or grow 2 inches in the next month to be 6'4 to 6'5".

Hmmm, somehow I find that hard to believe.

Anyone heard any other saying?

Because I am not buying this one.

I've heard 24 months...which would be even less than 5 10. I really doubt Wesley would be less than 5 10 though! I vote for myth.

Between you and Collins I'm going with 6'4" to 6'6"....

I highly doubt he's going to stop at 5'10". As we discussed last night... we have plans for him to be a linebacker or a forward. I mean look at his feet... they're huge. He's going to be a big boy.

Silly rabbit. Wait another month when he actually turns 27 months old and measure him again. This is an old wives tale (or should I say an old Grandmommy tale) to measure boys at 27 months and girls at 21 months.

If I got that wrong I hope she puts up a post to correct me.

I predict a 6' 3" lineman/3rd baseman/power forward/ (small college)

Love Dad

Okay, I promise I can tell you how old my son is. I go from people thinking he is 3 years old to me not knowing he is 26 months. Yesterday he was 26 months! I will tell you how tall he is on his ACTUAL 27 month birtday!

I have also heard 24 months too. I think he'll be tall so no worries. I should probably go ahead and reserve him for one of my girls for prom since he'll be one of the few that will be taller then them! :)

My guess? Somewhere between 5'10 and 6'4.
